Meridian at Ingham Farms Norfolk

Benefits
The proposed two wind turbine development at Ingham Farm, Ingham, Norfolk, has the potential to provide all the clean, green energy needs for 3,600 homes for the next 25 years.

Wind Power Renewables has committed to the establishment of a community fund, in proportion to project size. Local people will guide the use of the fund and the wind farm will support the administration and delivery. The fund will receive an annual top-up from the project of typically £1000 per installed Megawatt of capacity. For Meridian this fund is expected to receive over £6,000 per annum, this will equate to well in excess of £150,000 over 25 years.

Latest News
We now have confirmation that the project will be determined and before the planning committee on the 29th July 2010 - Just think our original date was the 20th January 2010!

January 2010 - Stalham Public Meeting - 129 people out of 130 attending voted against the two clean green energy producing wind turbines! It would appear that our view has caused some confusion. We concluded that if only 130 people turned up out of a total population of 2,951 (Happing Magazine figure for the population) of Stalham, removing children from the equation this would indicate that from an approximate number of adults 1,340, only 130 attended that's 0.97%. Which show that there were more people (99%) who didn't attend and therefore were not bothered either way. This still shows an ambivalent majority.

October 2009 - Formal application for full planning permission has been issued to North Norfolk District Council - Planning application number 20091060. Determination is being targeted for 19th January 2010.

If you'd like to help us with this project you can download a letter of support, sign it add your address and post it off to the planners at North Norfolk District Council. The more support we get the stronger the case will be for having clean green energy for 3600 homes in the Stalham area.

There is also a small poster to hand out to those who might be sceptical and if you would like any more information please contact us on info@wprl.co.uk
