During the EIA process and detailed wildlife studies cranes and bitterns were observed and therfore the project has been put on hold until further notice.

Background

  • June 2007 - A public exhibition in relation to the proposed development takes place.
  • September 2007 - A 60m meteorological mast is erected on site, with planning permission. The mast records wind speeds and direction and remains on site for over a year.
  • January 2008 - Wind Power Renewables submits a scoping request for an Environmental Impact Assessment to construct a single wind turbine at Catfield.
  • February 2008 - Surveys are begun as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment.
  • June 2008 - North Norfolk District Council provide Wind Power Renewables with a scoping opinion.
  • During EIA process and detailed wildlife studies and subsiquently the finding cranes and breeding bitterns the project has been put on hold until further notice.
