The British Wind Energy Association is the trade and professional body for the UK wind and marine renewables industries. Formed in 1978, and with over 310 corporate members, BWEA is the leading renewable energy trade association in the UK.

CCC manages The Ventus Funds, the largest group of funds specifically targeted at the UK renewable energy sector. The Ventus Funds are specialist venture capital trusts (“VCTs”) focused on investing in companies that will develop, construct and operate small to medium sized on-shore renewable energy projects in the UK.
The first Ventus Fund, Ventus VCT plc, was raised in April 2005. Ventus 2 VCT plc and Ventus 3 VCT plc were raised in April 2006. Together the Ventus Funds address the funding gap that exists at the smaller end of the UK market
DTI Low Carbon Building Programme
The DTI's Low carbon buildings programme provides grants for microgeneration technologies for householders, community organisations, schools, the public sector and businesses. The programme is managed by the Energy Saving Trust
