Wind Power Renewables Ltd. has an impressive team of leading experts in the onshore Wind Energy business. The combined team of 14 specialists are currently developing 5 wind power projects in Norfolk and Suffolk. The Company is able to take projects from initial site selection through planning, build to operations and maintenance, eventually thought to repowering and decommissioning. The extended team of leading industry specialists gives us the ability to prepare and deliver successful projects.Andy Hilton the managing director and founder of the company. Andy has over 30 year's project management experience with over 7 years experience in project wind turbine developments. As project manager with E.ON UK and Construction Manager with Centrica Energy he has installed turbines amounting to over 248MW, including several large onshore projects and the offshore wind project at Scroby Sands off the Norfolk coast.
Annette Ward an Environmental Consultant and project manager for over 20 years, with MAFF (now DEFRA) ADAS and with her own consultancy company. Annette has worked with Natural England, Norfolk and Suffolk Wildlife Trusts, the RSPB and Norfolk and Suffolk Archaeology departments of Norfolk and Suffolk County Councils.
Tom Hilton has just completed his Environmental Science degree at Plymouth University and joined the team at the end of May 2009. Tom's specialisation at Plymouth was Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) preparation and renewable energy project development. Tom is also responsible for managing the in-house wind farm development software, producing photomontages, shadow flicker graphs and ZVI graphs.
Ecological Specialists
Steve Henson BSc Hons. in Ecology, a Chartered Environmentalist and Member of the Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management. He has 11 years experience in conservation and surveying for a wide range of organisations including the Norfolk Wildlife Trust, Anglian Water, Internal Drainage Board and the Environment Agency.
Robert Baker BSc Hons. in Ecology and has been undertaking wildlife surveys for over 20 years. He has undertaken a large number of mammal, bird, insect and plant surveys and written reports for the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Pensthorpe Waterfowl Trust, English Nature and Natural England. He is a member of the British trust for Ornithology and holds a bird ringing license. In addition he lectures part time at the University of East Anglia in ecology and ornithology.
Ash Murray BSc Hons. in Rural Resource Management and 11 years experience in conservation work in survey monitoring and habitat management for a wide range of organisations including Natural England. Ash co-founded the North Norfolk Barbastelle study group and has recently overseen the restoration of a scheduled ancient monument containing an internationally important bat colony.
Karl Charters BSc Hons. in Marine and Fresh Water Biology and 6 years experience in conservation work in amphibian surveys including great crested newt and natterjack toad surveys. Karl has had a great crested newt licence for the past four years. He also has 4 years experience in performing bat transects. Karl has undertaken several protected species plans. Karl's great crested newt licence number is 20081649.
Carl Chapman Certificate in Ornithology, University of East Anglia. Carl runs his own company "Wildlife Tours and Education". A former member of the Stradishall Conservation Committee and current member of the British Trust for Ornithology, the NNT and the WWT Carl has completed Wildlife Surveys for the past 15 years. An active bird and wildlife photographer he also has accreditations within the Tourism Industry and Business Development.
Noise Specialist
Ian Bennett is a leading consulting engineer specialising in industrial and environmental noise. He is an acoustical design consultant to the oil and gas, construction and onshore wind industries, and carries out workplace and environmental noise surveys. He has worked in the wind energy industry for more than 15 years and contributed to more than 70 different wind energy projects in the UK and Europe, ranging from single turbines to large offshore wind farm schemes.
